4LQQKS(Simon) wrote:You could change the hinges to a bonnet/boot style hinge that would mean you could fix it to the lid and bolt it to the tray. Means you would have to unbolt it at the tray to remove/refit but it would last longer than screws being taken in and out all the time

I'm pretty sure this will confuse the hell out of you so I'll try and do a drawing for you soon.

So basically they get mounted to the tray and hardlid, and when you want to fit the lid you tilt the lid up 90 degrees and slot the top hinge into the bottom hinge slot and then tilt it back down and close it, they work as a hinge but come off by just tilting it 90 degrees and pulling it out.
Does that all make sense?

DVSLUX wrote:Yeh they seem to, they were good enough for brand new trucks off the show room floor, but put a rubber seal around the lid aswell so it puts a little tension on the hinges so they don't rattle around, and it also makes it reasonably water proof too.
